reVerb Communications Supports Ledcor to Enhance Stakeholder Engagement for Edmonton's Capital Line South LRT Extension

Edmonton, AB – reVerb Communications is proud to announce its collaboration with Ledcor Group, providing comprehensive communications and stakeholder relations support for Phase 1 of the Capital Line South LRT Extension. This initiative marks reVerb's fifth major transit project in Alberta, underscoring our commitment to advancing the province's transportation infrastructure.​

Ledcor, in partnership with AECOM, has been awarded the design-build contract by the City of Edmonton to extend the Capital Line LRT from Century Park to north of Ellerslie Road. This 4.5-kilometre extension includes:​

  • An LRT underpass at 23 Avenue​

  • Bridges over Blackmud Creek and Anthony Henday Drive​

  • Stations at Twin Brooks and Heritage Valley North​

  • An Operations and Maintenance Facility south of Anthony Henday Drive​

The project aims to accommodate Edmonton's growing population by enhancing sustainable mobility options and increasing ridership capacity in south Edmonton.

As a key team member, reVerb Communications will focus on:​

  • Developing and implementing strategic communication plans​

  • Engaging stakeholders and the community throughout the project lifecycle​

  • Ensuring transparent and timely information dissemination​

The $1.34 billion project is a collaborative effort with funding from the Government of Canada, the Government of Alberta, and the City of Edmonton. An economic assessment estimates the extension will generate 9,500 full-time jobs and $1 billion in wages and salaries through construction, operations and maintenance.
